TRAINING
Why
is it Important?
Training is today's modern corporations jargon, yet one of
the most valuable internal investments. In the past,
training had been considered a burden and written on the
cost side of the Financial Statement. Today the waves have
changed the course and moved the training onto the asset
side.
Large
enterprises such as Motorola, Dell, Nokia, BMW, General
Motor, and small-medium-scale enterprises such as local
establishments have benefited from the advantages of having
internal training for their executives and employees.
The
importance of training has even been growing due to the
enterprises restructuring which demand the corporations to
stay lean, efficient, productive and durable by keeping
lesser and lesser employees as possible, yet keeping them
skillful and highly competent through continuous improvement
via training.
The
followings are the advantages of training:
-
measure and unify standards
-
create and sustain dialogues and relationships, which
increases the level of understanding about the service
-
identify issues that need to be dealt with
-
identify the members of staff that need further
support, assistance or training
-
help staff appreciate their professional role, which
will be reflected in their work
-
Reassure staff of the support available to them
-
Be used as an opportunity to reinforce organizational
aims
-
be used to subtly review areas for improvement to
maintain the quality of the service
-
be used as an ongoing process to deal with staff and
students as various expectations arise.
-
provide opportunities for feedback.
